African Championships in Athletics: Moroccan Rabab Arafi Wins Silver in 1.500m

Durban (South Africa) - Rabab Arafi on Friday bagged a silver medal for Morocco in the 1500m event at the 20th African Championships in athletics, held on June 22-26 in Durban.

Arafi, the 1,500m African champion in 2012, clocked 4:03.95, behind South African Caster Semenya (4:01.99). The bronze medal went to Ethiopian Feyisa Adanech Anbesa (4:05.22).

It is the second medal for Morocco in these championships after the bronze medal won Thursday in pole vault by Dinar Nisrin...
